About Chia

Hi/Hoi!

I’m Chia, a Monster lover — Rotterdam-based illustrator, Storyteller and creator of strange little Monsters.

When I was a little kid, My Neighbor Totoro by Hayao Miyazaki opened the door to a world filled with wonder, imagination, and magical creatures. I dreamed of living there and meeting them myself.

Somewhere along the way, I started building my own MonsterLands which are filled with whimsical characters, curious creatures, and stories of their own. I don’t remember exactly when it began. Over the years, these Monsters have become a world.

Now, I’d like to invite you to step inside, meet the Monsters, and create a little piece of this strange and playful world with me!
